John Warner

John Warner was launched on to the stage of this crazy world in a small village in Leicestershire in 1947, noted as one of the worst winters on record... So, weather wise, not a bright beginning. Though John disappointed his mother by not managing to gain a place in Grammar school,  he was good in English. As for other subjects, the phrase "could do better"  was, it seemed, meant for him.

After a brief spell as an apprentice electrician, where his boss described him as, "... great with the customers in the shop. As an electrician...forget it. No spark!" John took his old boss' advice and became a salesman, on the road. Thirty years later, John retired as sales director, managing to avoid electrocuting himself in the process.

But John always had the feeling there was more to life, but had no idea what, until he married his Cypriot wife and retired to Cyprus where he become a writer by accident.

The Tales of Padistan Bear is John's first foray into the literary world and he's looking forward to writing more about Padistan and his adventures.
